An Egyptian lawmaker was faraway from a press convention on the COP27 local weather assembly in Sharm El-Sheikh after defending the detention of British-Egyptian pro-democracy activist Alaa Abdel Fattah.
Amr Darwish stated Mr Abdel Fattah was “not a political prisoner”, as he addressed a panel together with the activist’s sister, Sanaa Seif.
Alaa Abdel Fattah has been on starvation strike since April and the UN human rights chief has known as on Egypt to launch him.
