Exterior of modeling, Marshall moonlights as a casting assistant and a graduate scholar, working towards a level in Incapacity Research — a topic she’s clearly keen about, given her personal journey as an amputee. “As a disabled individual studying about incapacity as a complete, I’m in a position to put these items that I’m studying into observe,” she says, explaining that her objective is to make use of her platform “to make clear some points that proceed to occur inside the incapacity neighborhood.” And whereas a protracted and troublesome battle, for Marshall, it could actually begin with one thing so simple as a selfie. “Getting to point out up as myself, authentically and proudly, and to simply take up that area as a disabled Black lady is so highly effective,” she says.
